Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NextCourt LLC, a company formed in the state of Florida, United States ("NextCourt", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the NextCourt mobile app and related services (the "Service"). NextCourt is a platform for tennis, padel, pickleball, and beach tennis players. NextCourt accounts are restricted to users aged 18 and over; minors may take part in a tournament only when registered by a parent or legal guardian, without an account (see section 7).
1. Information we collect
- Account & profile: name, email, date of birth (used only to confirm you are 18+), and optional details you add — city/state, sports and self-rated levels, bio, profile photo, and optional contact handles (phone, WhatsApp, Instagram), which are private by default.
- Activity content: matches, scores, court reviews, teams, chat messages, photos you attach, tournament registrations, and support requests.
- Tournament registration without an account: anyone can register for a tournament on a public tournament page without creating a NextCourt account. There we collect the registrant's name, email, optional phone, self-declared level, gender for the draw, and an emergency contact (name, relationship and phone) for the day of the event. When the entry is for a child, we also collect the child's name and date of birth — section 7 explains exactly what we do and do not collect about a minor.
- Location: approximate device location, used to show nearby courts and players. Most of the app works without it.
- Device & technical data: device model, OS, app version, language, push token, and diagnostic/crash data.
- Usage analytics: in-app events (screens viewed, features used) to improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- Provide and operate the Service (match-making, scoring, courts, teams, tournaments, social features).
- Send notifications you've opted into (e.g. match reminders, messages).
- Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and provide support.
- Understand usage and improve features.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contract and only as needed:
- Supabase — database, authentication, storage.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications.
- Google Maps / Geocoding — maps and location features.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Resend — transactional email.
Other players can see your public profile (name, photo, city/state, sports and levels, badges). Contact handles are shown only if you make them public. If you register for a tournament, the organizer and their staff can see your registration details (name, email, phone, category, self-rated level, payment status). We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Data retention & deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data from within the app (Profile → Privacy) or by emailing us. On a deletion request your account is deactivated and your personal data is removed or anonymized, except where we must retain limited records to comply with the law.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Use the in-app options or contact us below.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children
Accounts are for adults. You must be 18 or older to create a NextCourt account, and we do not knowingly let anyone under 18 sign up.
Minors may be registered for a tournament by a parent or legal guardian — without an account. A parent or guardian who registers a child on a tournament page provides their own email address, which is the only address we contact; the child gets no account, no login and no email from us. We collect the child's first and last name, which is what the draw and the schedule need, and the child's date of birth, which is recorded on the liability waiver the guardian signs. We never ask for a minor's email, phone number or photo, and the child is never contacted directly. This data is used solely to run that tournament (draws, scheduling and the liability waiver signed by the guardian) and is kept with the tournament record.
If you believe we hold data about a minor beyond what is described above, or you want that data deleted, contact us at support@nextcourtapp.com and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
